From your daughter Rachel, with love. 28th April 2019

I have been so lucky to be able to call this amazing, hard working, kind, generous & slightly crazy man my Dad. We have so many happy memories to cherish and fun stories to tell of this very full life. He took up hobbies with us when we were young. Fishing with Paul & horse riding with me ,going on hacks across the Yorkshire moors. A watercolour painting holiday we went on together in the Lakes over 30 years ago was the start of a hobby for many different art classes over the years, with numerous masterpieces on display in the flat! He enjoyed a busy social life with their large group of friends. Wine tasting holidays, bridge clubs, parties & of course sunbathing! Lanzarote being the favourite destination, but if the sun was out Dad could be found in the garden or on the balcony soaking up the rays. He always was a snappy dresser with his signature look of a patterned elegant bow tie. He was a great observer of peoples clothes & styles, often with a look of amusement & intrigue but never unkind & usually saying they would be fun to paint! I'm going to miss our discussions of the latest visit to a gallery, an art show on TV or the antiques roadshow. But most of all I'm just going to miss you Dad x
